Ok, I don't what the issue is and I don't care really. I don't think MAC is selling fake makeup, since that's how I purchased mine; on the launch date, so I don't think this scamming issue applies to me. If you buy makeup, or anything off Ebay or any other auction site, It's a case of buyer beware! Good luck out there!!

I was going through it..I was thinking over the relevance of blogging and if I should continue blogging, plus I was severely depressed not having gotten a MAJUH assisting gig for fashion week last season! But I'm over it, onward and forward. When one door closes, another door opens and all that self-help crap! Plus I read on twitter from another blogger that "you blog to get a better job" so I'll be posting more soon, I'm also going to be doing a separate blog of just my photography since I received an 'advanced' point and shoot camera for Christmas!

These are the lacquers I picked up from the Style Black collection (I'll get Nocturnelle later.) I really really like them. Most dark polishes go on clunky and you can see the mistakes from space. Not these, the formulation is ultra creamy and just spreads out over the nail! You can even go back over any mistake, or just add another layer and not worry about it gunkin up!! I think I might get more when they launch officially!

So here's a first!! I actually did a pic of me wearing makeup, of a collection that's not quite out yet! MAC Style Black was previewed last during Fashion Night Out here in NYC. I know the event took place across the world, but don't know if the collection was previewed everywhere, let me know if it was, but I digress. I picked up a bunch of stuff i wanted, but I'm most excited about the lipstick, particularly Black Knight. I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT!!! It goes on creamy, and it's no so intense. It's very very buildable! And since my lips are heavily pigmented, it can go from a light plum stain to full on blackberry! I also LOVE pairing it with Blackfire GlimmerGlass! This new glass/gloss has a brush applicator and is very light, not sticky at all, but has intense shimmer! I LOVE IT!!! Let me know what you love from this collection!

So I'm sure you know by now last week was a preview launch for the MAC - Makeup Arts Collection featuring collaborations by Richard Phillips, Maira Kalman and Marilyn Minter.

I went to the event at MAC-Soho, it was pretty ok! Nice wine, nice nibbly bits, an nice sweets!! There were a few protrait artists around so you could get your portrait taken, mine doesn't look that much like me, the artist who drew my portrait did really cool drawings of the ladies in the place, but I digress.

I admit, I wasn't that excited about the collection when I first heard about it!! But after seeing an hearing buzz, I became intrigued! I knew the Photorealism quad was going to be a must have, the others looked way too dupable. I don't know why I picked up the Purple Shower eye shadow, I like purples and plums...I might return it when the collection actually launches. I picked up Full Body lipstick by mistake (it was the wine,) but I do like the shade. I think I'll go back for Hold the Pose lippie. I picked up On Display liplglass, can always use a good plummy gloss. I was going oogly over the pigmens!! But the LE piggies were the ones to get! So of course I picked up Brash & Bold and Push the Edge pigs! B&B has a buildable shimmer, and Push the Edge is really strong shimmer! I was looking at the Fushia glitter, but it looked really purple...I'll check it out at Pro when the collection hits counter. I also intend to go back for a few of the pencils, a Specktraite/MAC employee has done some really pretty facecharts with the pencils!! I was inspired!

The best bit is, you were given a free poster with purchase...I chose the Marilyn Minter of course.

BUT I'M SO EXCITED!! I haven't been this excited about any makeup collection since MAC Hello Kitty! But this, this black inspired collection. Black lispticks, black lipglass, shimmery black eyeshadows, greasy smudge proof black paint sticks, seriously dark nail lacquers!!! MAC says get ready for STYLE BLACK, me...I can't wait to paint it black, and get painted black! (Oh yea, this is going in my personal kit, I'm not sharing it with any model!!!)

So last week MAC Pro held a master class on bodypainting hosted by Chantal Miller, Keri Blair with assistance by Sherry! It was informative an infotaining! I tired to take as much notes as possible, I think I did pretty good actually (I only missed 2 things!) They went really rapid fire, thankfully were allowed to take pics, otherwise!! Chantal did an AMAZING freehand tattoo on the models arm from a print out...GENIUS! Keri & Sherry were working on the body, turning a bikini into a one piece....BRILLIANT!! The most inspiring class I took at MAC Pro so far, guess I'll be stocking up on what I need for a bodypainting kit.
